Dr. Phuong Huynh has more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, delivering technical leadership in RF and mixed-signal IC design from system architect to device qualification and production. He is a proven thought leader successful providing direction in research and development for many startups; namely as director of the RF IC group at XtremeSpectrum, Inc. where he was in charge of developing a new Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) wireless technology for the consumer electronics market. The company was later acquired by Motorola/Freescale in 2003. Phuong led the analog IC design group at PowerPrecise, Inc. where he developed a lithium ion power management chipset for consumer and automotive applications. The startup was acquired by Texas Instruments in 2007. Since 2012, he has been taking consulting roles for startups in developing new technologies related to RF wireless charging, millimeter wave transceivers, and low-power mixed-signal IC applications. Dr. Phuong Huynh has a Ph.D, MS, and BS in Electrical Engineering. He owns twelve patents related to RF bandpass-sampling communications receivers, and is a named inventor on twenty US patents.
