Khalid Azim, Ph.D is an accomplished 25 year veteran of semiconductor industry delivering over 50 ASICs, SOCs and embedded system solutions in touch sensing, image processing, audio, video and GPS. His expertise is in transforming system concepts and algorithms into successful silicon covering chip definition, architecture, technology and IP selection, design implementation and transfer to production. He has led and managed development of semiconductor and embedded systems products generating revenues of a few million to over 100 million dollars. They include video compression ICs at AT&T Bell Labs, audio codecs and digital camera ICs at Cirrus Logic, GPS ASICs at startup SiRF Technologies (IPO exit), H.264 video codec at startup Mobilygn (acquired by Maxim), touch system ASICs and embedded controllers at Elo Touch and many others.
Dr. Azim holds a Ph.D in EECS from University of California at Berkeley and is actively involved in philanthropic activities.
