AUSTIN, Texas – SigmaSense, the global leader in high-precision impedance sensing, today announced that Chad Weintraub will join the company as Senior Vice President of Operations, effective immediately. Chad will report to SigmaSense CEO David French and serve on the company’s executive leadership team. He will be responsible for managing all operational activities for the company, while also overseeing SigmaSense’s breakthrough electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technology, which enables real-time, in-situ, and high-throughput measurement of battery impedance.

An engineer and technologist with a Ph.D. in Solid State Electrical Engineering, Chad has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Chad served as Senior Director, Business Operations and Pricing for AMD, a leader in high-performance, graphics computing, where he also held previous positions as Director, Cost Reduction Corporate Special Assignment, and Director, Product Management for the Semi-Custom Business Unit. More recently, Chad served as Senior Director, Technology Enablement at Samsung Semiconductor. Earlier in his career, Chad held engineering positions at GlobalFoundries and Freescale Semiconductor.
